Is there a complete Shroom and Gloom card list yet?

Keyword: shroom and gloom card list · Game version: Demo (post 2026-06-08 update), before Early Access · Last updated: September 4, 2026

There is no complete Shroom and Gloom card list yet. The official Steam page promises around 300 explore and combat cards per pathway across two pathways, roughly 600 in total. Community screenshots have confirmed cards like Scavenger Blade, Grand Maul, Hungry Blade, Staple Diet, and Corrupted Limb, and this list will expand at Early Access launch.

Quick answer

Not yet — and this page is the honest, early version of one. Shroom and Gloom does not have an official card database, and before Early Access the only concrete card text available publicly comes from player screenshots. Below you will find what is officially confirmed about the game’s card counts, plus every card we can currently document with a source. This page is a work in progress, will expand at EA launch, and everything here reflects the demo version after the June 8, 2026 update.

How many cards are in Shroom and Gloom?

The official Steam Early Access page is the only authoritative source on card counts: the game ships with approximately 300 explore and combat cards per pathway, across two pathways. That works out to roughly 600 cards in total at Early Access launch on September 10, 2026, and the developers have stated they will add new pathways, character classes, and quests during the 12–24 month Early Access period — meaning the final card count will keep growing after launch.

The demo you can play today contains only a fraction of that pool, which is exactly why a full list does not exist yet.

Which cards are confirmed so far?

Community screenshots — shared by players on Bluesky and aggregated via skythread — give us exact card text for a small handful of demo cards. These are quoted verbatim, and every entry should be read as shown in player screenshots rather than as official documentation:

CardCard effect (verbatim from player screenshots)Source
Scavenger Blade“Deal 106 damage twice. When you eat, +1 dmg. If fatal, +4 dmg”As shown in player screenshots (the screenshot spells the name “Scavanger Blade”)
Grand Maul“Deal 49. If fatal, trigger all ‘If fatal’ in hand”As shown in player screenshots

Beyond those two, community screenshots show cards like Staple Diet, Hungry Blade, Grand Maul, Corrupted Limb, Scavenger Blade — but no full card text for Staple Diet, Hungry Blade, or Corrupted Limb has been captured publicly yet, so we list them by name only:

CardStatusSource
Staple DietName confirmed in screenshots and Steam forum reports; full text not yet documentedPlayer screenshots; reported by players in the official Steam forums
Hungry BladeName confirmed; damage shown at 51 in a player screenshot; full text not yet documentedAs shown in player screenshots; reported by players in the official Steam forums
Corrupted LimbName confirmed; damage shown at 51 in a player screenshot; full text not yet documentedAs shown in player screenshots

If you have a clean screenshot of any demo card not listed here, its text can be quoted and credited on this page — verification standards are documented in our sources policy.

What is the difference between combat cards and explore cards?

Shroom and Gloom is a double deckbuilder: you carry a combat deck and a separate explore deck, and the ~300 cards per pathway split across both. The official Steam demo page describes the demo’s explore side — tunnels, spore swarms, and bosses per biome — while Devolver’s page describes explore cards as tools that reveal, search, break, unlock, ignite, feed, and fix.

Because the two decks serve different phases of a run, card evaluation works differently on each side: a card like the community’s favorite explore compressors matters even when it deals zero damage. Our best cards page covers combat-side evaluation in depth.

Why is this list so short?

Because nothing fuller can currently be verified. Several sites have published pages claiming complete Shroom and Gloom card tables, but we could not verify those claims against any official or community-traceable source, so we will not reproduce them here. Everything on this page traces to the official Steam pages or to player screenshots we can point to.

When will the full card list arrive?

Early Access launches on Steam on September 10, 2026 (September 11 in UTC+8 time zones). At that point the full ~300 explore and combat cards per pathway become playable, and this page will expand into a complete, sourced card database — with official text replacing screenshot quotes wherever possible. Expect the first full-data update in the days after launch.
